Very simple, make up a rule that takes place in rpgs. We all know the drill. I'll start...
Rule: If an npc tells you to do something, you must then go do it. If an npc tells you not to do something, you must then go do it.

Rule: All RPG heroes are either orphans or were raised by a single parent, usually the opposite gender of the hero. The other parent will either not be mentioned at all or will have disappeared through unusual circumstances which will likely be explained through the course of the game.
